About Us
Offshore Sportsbooks was built for one purpose: to help US bettors work out which offshore sportsbooks are actually worth their time, and which ones aren't. We look closely at the live betting experience — how fast lines move once a game starts, how deep the in-play markets run, and how reliably a book pays out when a bet wins. That's the lens we bring to every review on this site.
We're not a sportsbook. We don't take bets, hold funds or offer picks. We're an independent research and comparison site, and we're upfront about what that means: the offshore market sits outside US state regulation, and no site we cover is licensed by a US gaming authority.
Why Live Betting Is Our Focus
Plenty of comparison sites treat "in-play" as a checkbox. We treat it as a real differentiator. A book that only refreshes moneylines every few minutes isn't the same as one running live point spreads, totals and same-game parlays that update in near real time during a game. Where a sportsbook has strong pre-match odds but a thin or slow in-play platform, we say so. Where a book's live markets genuinely stand out — more props, faster line movement, higher in-play limits — that's reflected in our ranking too.
What We Actually Check
Every book on our list is assessed against the same set of criteria, whether it sits at the top of the page or further down.
- Licensing and jurisdiction — where the operator is licensed offshore (commonly Curaçao, Panama or Costa Rica), and what that licence does and doesn't guarantee
- Odds and market depth — pricing on spreads, moneylines and totals, plus the breadth of live, prop and futures markets
- Bonus terms — the full rollover and wagering requirements behind any welcome or reload offer, not just the headline percentage
- Banking — deposit and withdrawal methods, including crypto, along with stated payout speeds, limits and fees
- Verification — what KYC documentation a book asks for and when
- Track record — reputation for actually paying out, based on publicly available information and operator history
- Support — how easy it is to reach a real person and get a useful answer
Commission from an operator's referral link never buys a higher position on this site. A book with a generous affiliate deal and a mediocre live betting platform will still be ranked below one that pays less but performs better for readers.
How Our Top-Rated Books Compare

Why These Books Made Our Live Betting Shortlist
Lucky Rebel tops our list for readers focused on in-play betting, with a welcome offer of 125% up to $1,250 plus a 50 FreeBet — a large headline figure that, like any offshore bonus, comes with rollover requirements and eligibility conditions that need reading before signup. Its live betting menu is one of the more active we've reviewed, though newer offshore brands generally have a shorter payout track record for us to point to, so we'd encourage a smaller first deposit while you get a feel for withdrawal speed.
Bovada is one of the longer-standing names taking US players offshore, and that history counts for something when you're trusting a book with live funds. The 50% up to $250 welcome bonus is modest next to some rivals, and Bovada's market depth on niche live props can lag behind books that specialize more heavily in in-play coverage.
BetOnline pairs a broad live betting board with a $250 free bets offer, and it's built a reasonably solid reputation for settling withdrawals without excessive delay. The tradeoff is a verification process that can feel more involved than some crypto-first competitors, which matters if fast, low-friction payouts are your priority.
What We Won't Do
- We won't tell you offshore betting is legal, licensed or regulated in your state — that's a call only you and your state's laws can make, and we encourage every reader to check their own state's rules first
- We won't imply that US-style player protections — segregated funds, state dispute resolution, guaranteed payouts — apply to offshore operators, because they don't
- We won't present betting tips as guaranteed winners, or frame sports betting as a reliable way to make money
- We won't list a bonus figure without the rollover, minimum odds or time-limit conditions attached to it
Responsible Gambling and Age Eligibility
Everything on Offshore Sportsbooks is intended for readers aged 21 and over. Betting carries a real risk of losing money, and offshore books carry the added risk that a payout could be delayed or refused — they don't offer the same self-exclusion and responsible gambling tools as regulated US operators. If betting stops being enjoyable, or you're chasing losses or betting more than you can afford, free confidential support is available 24/7 through the National Council on Problem Gambling at 1-800-GAMBLER. Our Responsible Gambling page has more on the tools and support available.
Our Independence
Offshore Sportsbooks earns revenue through affiliate partnerships with some of the operators we cover — if you click through and sign up, we may receive a commission. That relationship never decides our rankings. A book's editorial rating reflects our research into its odds, markets, banking and track record, not the size of its referral payout. We'll always flag a genuine limitation, including for the sportsbook rated highest on this page.
Any questions about our review process, or something you think we've got wrong, can go through our Contact Us page. Full terms of use for this site are covered on our Terms and Conditions page.
